We are writing to reconnect with you following last evening’s Board Meeting, where Trustees approved a deficit budget for the 2026–2027 school year. It is important to us that we continue to communicate openly about the decisions before us and the path forward.
WDHS is once again offering the ability to purchase flowers for the commencement ceremony to be given to your graduate. You can pre-order at the link below, and there will also be the option to purchase the day of in the lobby of First Ontario Concert Hall. If you choose to pre-order, you will be able to pick them up in the lobby at First Ontario Concert Hall, at the booth that will be set-up.
June is a meaningful month for many reasons. It marks the beginning of the last instructional month for the 2025-2026 school year, bringing with it a season of transition, achievement, and new beginnings. It also marks the beginning of Pride Month, a time to celebrate 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, as well as Ontario Day, when we reflect on what it means to call this province home.
Today on June 1, I am pleased to take a moment to recognize Ontario Day. This is an important time to reflect on the rich history, diversity, and shared values that shape our wonderful province.
Students under 16 are not permitted to bring e-bikes or e-scooters to school. These devices must not be stored on school property and must not be brought into school buildings.
